Champagne Joseph Perrier
MILLÉSIME VINTAGE EDITION
Client: Joseph Perrier. Paris, France.
Role: Design direction, packaging artwork, graphic production coordination.
Skills: Conceptualization, visual design, photography, image beautification, prototyping, graphic production.
Maison Joseph Perrier was founded in Châlons-en-Champagne, France; in 1825. The brand trusted the packaging design for a post-World War II edition to the creative team I was co-leading in Paris. Two variants were included in the initial project scope: Brut Rosé, and Blanc de Blancs.

A replica of Joseph Perrier’s historic bottle “d’avant-guerres” from the XIX century was chosen for this special edition; its peculiar shape was a factor to consider in the creative process.

Love for details and beautiful finishes are crucial when crafting a champagne label, foil, cap, cage, and cork. Every design component plays an important role in the customer experience. A careful recalibration of the crowned royal cape was made to create a new icon for the brand, inspired by the legendary gift from the British empire to this family-run champagne house.

My creative research delivered several viable designs, the chosen one was refined, manufactured, and launched in Europe, and in the United States.
